“Painting is not separate from the photograph; it is the moment when the image begins to breathe beyond the frame.”
Photography is where my process begins. For me, the image doesn’t end when the photograph is taken. It continues to evolve through paint, texture, and mark-making, becoming something that could not exist through either medium alone.
My paintings are not separate from my photographs, they are an extension of them. I like the moment when the image begins to move beyond what is visible, opening space for unexpected connections between color, surface, and light.
Rather than looking for a final result, I enjoy following the transformation of the image as it unfolds.
